I have been a customer of Holiday Inn for last 20 years however this time i decided to try Best Western and it turned out to be a terrible experience. ||1. My card was charged for the whole 9 nights on the first day itself||2. The reservation said breakfast included however i was charged for breakfast that too for all 9 nights on the first day itself||3. I had to checkout 3 nights earlier due to personal emergency however they were reluctant to give the refund and said the manager has to make a decision and the manager was on vacation||4. Did not provide me the invoice stating that invoice will be sent later by email and i am still waiting for the email since last 7 days||||Holiday Inn is very prompt in refunding money when you check out early, the breakfast is included in the reservation and the staff is very courteous. Holiday inn's are generally located in good locations

Very good stay. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a quiet atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here. The hotel was fairly basic, but clean and efficiently run. Contrary to some other reports, there was air conditioning and the coffee/tea (something of a luxury in many French hotels!) was replenished every day. Breakfast looked plentiful, but we declined the option due to price (€12) and waistlines. There’s a number of decent ‘chain restaurants’ and fast food outlets nearby, but generally it’s a quiet area. It’s a bit of a hike into central Saint Nazaire - especially as ongoing roadworks have affected the footpaths/pavements - but it’s do-able: allow around 35 minutes on foot subject to age/health.

Room is clean, but I was saying there for 2 nights and nobody clean up and maid up my room. Second is terrible internet 🛜 connection WiFi itself is good but for work , not possible work from cloud open Excel take age , email load take long. So if you are on business trip and would like to work at room no chance. Location is good , close to shopping mall and several restaurants on walking distance.

Chosen for its proximity to work, this turned out to be quite pleasant. It's very new, so the rooms are clean and decently equipped. There is a fitness centre but I did not have any kit. Breakfast is better than the average continental buffet.

No air-conditioning. ||||Free water, coffee and tea provided the first day was never replenished. The receptionist said it was a free welcome gift. What rubbish! All hotels replenish tea and coffee. Next time I would make 3 separate bookings for three nights (after all, there is no discount for subsequent nights' stay) to be sure to have fresh linen and a full stock of water, tea and coffee provided each day. ||||The pillows in the hotel were horrible. One was too big and the second too small; both were hard and lumpy. Why do European Hotels never consider the sleep comfort of their guests? Hot rooms with lumpy pillows are not comfortable and are not a recipe for a decent night's sleep.

Very clean and modern place to stay the staff are very helpful. Don't have the breakfasts as they are not worth the 12.50euros as the choice is poor and they always run out of food.||The rooms are very modern we had a self catering apartment with microwave and a small kitchen.||They only gave us one paper cup each and one coffe sachet free and you have to pay for additional sachets which is a poor service

I stayed in this hotel for work for 10 days. I'll start with the positive points. The room was clean, comfy, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It was well placed, with good parking amenities. The bath and shower had good water pressure and the bathroom (apart from the bath..) was good. However, these positives were more than let down by several pretty annoying issues. The WiFi worked..as long as you wanted a very slow connection, and only after 11pm at night. When I raised the issue with the staff they simply shrugged and said "when there's a lot of people using it it doesn't work well" as if that excuses the fact that the WiFi barely worked, even though that was one of the reasons this hotel was booked for me. The bath, as mentioned, would be perfect - for a small child. I am 6'2, not incredibly tall by any standards, and of average 'width' but the stupidly short and narrow bath barely fit me in. With water displacement taken into account, a mug full of water would nearly have been enough to fill it with me in it. The shower, however, was great. As another guest has mentioned, there was a fairly loud fan running most of the night but I did get used to this after a couple of days. The TV would void its memory every time you left the room and have to be re-scanned before you could see what was on. Finally though, these niggles would have been made up for (even the serious WiFi problem) by a friendly and welcoming staff who were at your disposal and at least looked like they wanted you there. I cannot say that this was the case. The reception staff were at best coldly polite and at worst bordering on rude. There was never once a "hello!", a "see you in a while!" or even a smile when I entered or left the hotel, and any issue raised was met with a sigh, even though efforts were made to deal with issues. Even a request for a couple more sachets of sugar was treated with suspicion and annoyance. The cleaning staff were very friendly and profession
