ALAMO REGIONS

Sadly a really poor experience This was not a well run office. It is not staffed during all the supposed opening hours. The neighbouring car hire counters at this airport dealt with their customers quickly but at Alamo we had to stand in line for one hour and 30 minutes (!) after our flight to reach the front of the queue. We were not offered any apology or explanation for this. We could at least have been warned there would be a long wait so we could have gone away and returned when they were ready for us. I was required to sign that I received the car without blemish before they would let me even see the car I was not shown the car nor given any explanation of how to drive it. this was important because Alamo supplied a very different car from agreed. We did not know that it was OK when the dashboard indicator said fuel tank was empty because this was a dual fuel car and the warning referred to the LPG and not petrol tank. The car gave many warning alarms we did not understand. There was no booklet with the car to explain them. Alamo failed to tell us that they had programmed the car to make intermittent warning alarm sounds whenever it was driven over 55kph regardless of speed limit. This took as a long time to identify. I was allowed to take the keys and was told vaguely where it was parked. I was not told the exit code for the car park Alamo asked me to sign a two page document and then complained because I wanted to read it . Other issues too which I am trying to forget

Also called enterprise rent a car. Very quick and professional service in both directions . Car was great. So refreshing not to have to worry when returning car

Quick, friendly and polite service at a good price. Pick up was quick and easy with everything well explained. Insurance and what constituted accident damage was also explained in depth but no hard sell to take out any additional cover. Quality and size of car supplied was better than expected and a proper walk round inspection was given before you left so you were in no doubt about what you were getting. Would certainly recommend them to a friend and will definitely be my first choice for any future hire.

DO NOT BOOK A CAR WITH THEM. Arrived at their booth 5 minutes before the pick up time that was booked with them then telling us that the car wouldn’t be available till 30 minutes later in the least. Excuse given: we were too early. No doubt at all that even if we were right on time, car would still not have been available till 30 minutes later. Proposed another car that was available that was much smaller than what was booked in their pathetic attempt to solve the issue. Never again.

Car rented from 10h30 in the morning but the agency opened at 13h30 ...

Rien à dire pour le véhicule. C'est parfait. Ce qui ne va pas c', est la réservation sur internet. Attention ! Vous payez une somme de départ et au rendu du véhicule, vous payez 50% de plus. Et surtout rendez la voiture avec le plein car ils vous matraquent. J'ai pris l'auto avec pas tout à fait le plein et eux l:ont rempli à rabord. Pas sympa !

Très bonne expérience avec l’équipe, de Rennes jusqu’à l’aéroport de Pau. Tout le personnel a été particulièrement aimable, disponible et professionnel, avec des explications claires et un service vraiment au top. Mention spéciale à la personne qui a réceptionné le véhicule à Pau, particulièrement chaleureuse et accueillante. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour leur gentillesse !

A éviter, surtout si vous êtes allergique à la malhonnêteté. J'ai loué un véhicule chez Alamo en fin mars 2025. De premiers abords, entreprise arrangeante qui a acceptée de signer un contrat par téléphone suite au retard de mon avion. Grave erreur de ma part. Le véhicule était noté comme neuf par l'agence. En réalité le véhicule présentait une discrète fissure au niveau du pare brise, non signalée, elle m'a donc été imputée (et ce malgré que je l'ai signalé dès le premier jour comme préconisé par l'agence). Malgré mes photos et image et le dossier de contestation envoyé à l'entreprise, la franchise de 1700 euros m'a tout de même été prélevée. Un conseil, passez votre chemin et allez voir la concurrence, certes un peu plus chère mais plus économique au final.
