My daughter and I stayed here for two nights and everything about this little hotel was excellent. Our room was clean and spacious, very comfortable for the two of us. The common area downstairs is well considered and welcoming, with quiet spaces to relax with a drink and a book after a long day sightseeing. The continental, help-yourself, breakfast is particularly good. We would ablsoutely stay here again next time we are in Rennes. If I ever open a hotel myself, I'd want it to be just like this!

Once again I struggle between 3 and 4 dots. Magic Hall is better than 3, but in my mind dont reach 4. |The good sides; very clean, very spacious room at great price.|The not so good sides; location is a bit away where you probably want to walk around. Distances though are not that bad. Saint-Anne tube station is maybe 7-8 mins away for a quick walker. Breakfast was included, but unfortunately it didn’t meet what I’m used to. Travelled elsewhere in France, so I doubt it is ”this is how breakfasts are in France”.|The switches in shower as mystical as they always tend to be in FR, IT,ES…and there’s the usual waiting time for warm water, which there was plenty of after having the patience to wait. Aircon seemed to work well, now it was already fairly cold outside though. Room could be made very dark, helped sleeping. |Service; neutral. ||All in all, if you want quietness and space at affordable price Le MH is a good choice, but if you want to be central (from a tourists point of view) maybe another choice would be better.

We just stayed for two nights at this really fun and inviting hotel. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Rennes. Even if you're just stopping through. We really loved the warm and inviting atmosphere at Magic Hall. The staff was equally pleasant and helpful. We brought our 6 year old dog on the trip with us and he was welcomed with open arms! Easy walk to/from the Pontchaillou station with scenic route along a canal. They even kept our luggage for us after our official check out so we could explore some more before our train departed. Room was lovely! The only minor downside was out of their control and we know this: but the excessive heat of the season and the western facing window of our room made for a particularly HOT room. Staff provided a standing fan for us to use and we deeply appreciated that. Just want others to know when booking. (we knew the establishment did not have AC, no issues there) Otherwise, everything was lovely and memorable! We will be back. <3

Cool hotel with friendly staff in Rennes. Beautiful room with very nice bathroom. When we were leaving for an early morning train with a lot of luggage the friendly guy at the front desk went out of his way to show us the shortest way to the Metro. We felt very welcome here. Thank you!

Hotel location is less than 5 minutes walking from the city center, but - being immediately outside of it, it allows parking (you’ll have to pay for it). The common space is super cozy, lots of artworks, a huge library with a serious hifi system and, yes..a recording studio! Our room was tiny but very cozy, clean and quiet. I think all the rooms are different and with a specific theme. The bed was absolutely comfortable and we slept really well. The toilet was fine - French setup.. it is what it is.. Breakfast was good: not so much choice but things were good. Staff was polite and easy going. In summary: the right choice if traveling by car and want to visit Rennes

A most enjoyable, quite quirky hotel a little way from Rennes city centre but close to a metro for easy access. Good spacious room on two levels, comfortable bed and modern shower room and sitting area at ground floor level.|We did not join the communal breakfasts at a large table, mainly used by French visitors, but found a very pleasant cafe just beyond the metro station instaed.|Welcoming staff, altogether a good stay.

Very comfortable night’s stay at Le Magic Hall. The family room was. Very comfortable and well laid out with a bunk bed in an adjacent room to the main bedroom. The buffet breakfast round the communal dining table was plentiful and the service was very friendly throughout our stay.

This is a gem of a place. Having just stayed at a chain airport hotel it was so refreshing to experience the personal hospitality and service possible in a small hotel.||Located close to the centre of Rennes the staff could not be more helpful to ensure you have a comfortable stay.|Breakfast was very do it yourself but was far removed from the cattle markets of larger establishments. ||This hotel prides itself on being individual and combined with the professionalism of the staff makes this a place I would highly recommend.
