5.0 Daniel Hudson

Fantastic restaurant. The restaurant is more of a show of how the food is prepared. Very cool setting. The staff make you feel very welcome as soon as you set foot in the door. The attention to detail is brilliant. The food is outstanding. Every dish tasted fantastic and prepared beautifully. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

A memorable evening with delicious food, a chic atmosphere and exemplary service! Prairail's dining area surrounds the open kitchen offering a view of the team prepping each dish with tweezers and tiny squeeze bottles, all under the watchful eye of chef Gentil. Artistically plated dishes are delivered with perfect timing and a detailed descriptions. This night's flavors leaned toward seafood, creatively combined with locally sourced vegetables and each with an admirable variety of textures. Among my favorites was the a velvety trout served with a fresh pea salad - just fantastic! The servings were well sized and numerous. By the time the third desert was presented I was joyfully satiated. For a truly delightful evening, I heartily recommend Prairial!!

On a scale of 1 to ten, just about everything was an 11. Even by French standards, we didn't realize that food could taste this good. This restaurant has an open kitchen, and it was a pleasure to watch the team work together to create each course. We selected the wine pairing menu, which was fascinating each wine, some of which were unusual, enhanced each course.

5.0 Andrew Prendergast

Fantastic service from the waiters, with detailed descriptions of each dish. The sommelier selected wines with real expertise, sometimes making atypical choices that paired beautifully with the food. The food was delicious, well thought out, and visually mesmerising, representing the very best the region has to offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, complemented by a calming, minimal design.

5.0 Seb Clarke

This is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The food was truly exceptional. The open kitchen design is unique and makes you feel entertained as they craft and plate each course. As our first Michelin star restaurant we were stunned with how exceptional each course was. The wine pairing is also truly unique experience. It utilises truly unique wines and flavours to make incredible pairings. It is well worth including. They asked us for a cocktail aperitif which wasn’t included. And the wine pairing started after the appetisers.

5.0 Kevin McNiece

Terrific dining experience. We did the 6-course tasting with wine pairings and were blown away. Note that the 6 courses didn’t include 3 amuse-bouches that start every meal, meaning we were absolutely stuffed after practically 9 courses of food. Highlights for us were the 36 hour tomato and stuffed courgette flower, especially with the wine pairings. The wine complimented or contrasted the dishes in perfect ways, either balancing sweeter courses or tempering more acidic courses. For a fine dining restaurant in Lyon, it offered very good value for money, especially with the wine pairings. Note a couple of the photos were taken after we had tampered with the plating (or the goat cheese ice cream had started to melt); everything came out pristine.

It was amazing. A highlight of my trip to Lyon. The food was varied, artistic and tasted amazing. All in all we had 13 unique dishes that each felt like a one of a kind experience. Each dish came with in depth explanations and we had a wine pairing which in depth described the wine and how it related to the dish. Everything felt like it had so much intention and thought behind it. With the kitchen in the middle of restaurant you are able to see the care behind how they operate and the energy the chefs bring to the experience. It felt like more than a meal and every person who you interact with takes great care regarding your experience. A nice touch I felt was the hand made stoneware from local female artists which are used for all of their plates, bowls, mugs and more.

3.0 Tatiana Perley

I had a mostly wonderful experience at the restaurant — the atmosphere was elegant, the service impeccable, and the quality of most dishes truly outstanding. However, I was disappointed by one particular dish: the meat served with mushrooms contained visible worms (I found at least three), which made it impossible to finish. This unfortunate incident significantly affected an otherwise excellent meal.
