Ambiance Bain, more like Ambiance 'Bane'. The first basin received had an obvious blemish on the top surface. Why wasn't that noticed before sending out! We had to wait another 5-6 weeks for a replacement. No fitting brackets were sent, so we had to visit Screwfix. Correct holes were drilled for the handle we ordered but a wrong handle was sent. And of course a return visit from our plumber to fit the unit - that's a further cost. The wall hung unit cost £600: that's 3 sides of MDF and a basin. Note, there is no back to the unit. In total, it has been a 10 week wait since paying in full, a visit to Screwfix and a revisit from the plumber. That is our Ambiance Bain experience. Apparently, Ambiance Bain have a policy whereby they don't compensate customers for any inconvenience, any extra costs incurred. They said in their reply they provided a replacement basin as soon as possible - that's 5 weeks. Really poor customer service for what is very expensive MDF and a basin. As per the Ambiance Bain response, I have contacted again as they suggested with their aim to 'restore our confidence'. All we received was an email just repeating that they sent a second replacement basin as soon as possible - 5 weeks - with the same explanation for the delay as in their first response. I am not at all sure how explaining the reason for the delay a second time has achieved anything - just a waste of time.

Contacted the company 4 years after an installation; firm I used no longer trade. I asked for a price for new handles for a unit as the chrome was flaking on the original handles. They came back to me straight away stating that there was a known problem with the handles at that time and have sent me a new pair free of charge. Fantastic customer service which is no doubt why they are rated so highly. Would definitely recommend
