IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS I WOULD! I initially had a good impression here, but it’s turned into an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. When we arrived, the man at the Bordeaux Free Mobile store ushered us straight to the self-service machine and guided us through the setup. We only wanted the €10 package (plus the €10 SIM), so €20 total. We would have preferred to pay cash so it would be completely prepaid, but that wasn’t even an option – we were forced to pay by card through the machine. Fast forward a few weeks, and both my partner and I were hit with huge roaming charges. We were told that our plan included Greece, but while we were in Corfu, our phones briefly picked up Albanian cell towers. We used barely 5MB of data, and yet we were charged €65 each – over €110 wasted between us. None of this was ever explained when we signed up. It feels misleading and dishonest. We were rushed through the process, not properly informed, and effectively tricked into thinking it was a simple prepaid plan. To make things worse, there’s no direct way to contact Free Mobile – no email, no online form – the only way to complain is by sending a physical letter. So after losing money, you’re expected to pay even more just to chase a refund you might never receive. Honestly, I think this whole setup is disgraceful. It’s not transparent, not tourist-friendly, and feels designed to catch people out. Be very careful before buying anything here!!!!

I had a great experience with their service today especially an honorable person named Yassine, who happens to speak perfect English, he stayed after hours just to help get my sim card working, Thank you Yassine for this next level service.
