This is a truly impressive and peaceful place in Nice. The monument built into the rocks creates a powerful feeling the moment you see it. Surrounded by nature, tall trees, and beautiful views, it feels both grand and calm at the same time. I loved how history, architecture, and the natural landscape come together here in such a unique way. It’s not only a place to take beautiful photos but also a place where you naturally slow down for a moment and appreciate the atmosphere around you. Definitely worth visiting while exploring Nice — one of those places that quietly leaves a lasting impression.
Moving and grand! The Monument aux Morts is an incredible piece of architecture carved right into the cliff. It's a very powerful place to stop by while walking along the coast. The sheer scale of it is breathtaking. Definitely check out my 360° photo to see how it dominates the shoreline!
Impressive monument that’s a war memorial, built to honour the people of Nice who died in WWI. It was designed by architect Roger Séassal and sculpted by Alfred Janniot between 1924 and 1927, and inaugurated on 29 January 1928 in the presence of Marshal Foch.
The scenery here is beautiful, and it’s a must visit if you’re in the area. The ocean is magnificent, and the monument overlooking it is truly amazing. Just be careful of the high waves that crash against the rocks they can splash you as well. It happened to me
