Visited two seperate temporary exhibitions at the Palais Galliera and they were both some of the best curations I have ever seen. The space is the perfect size for an hour long visit. Very accessible by public transport. The location is also interesting as there are several other museums to visit around. It can get a little crowded on the weekends so do remember to book your tickets ik advance.
Absolute fantastic expositon on fashion in the 18th century. Super interesting and you could see how the 18th century fashion has influenced today's couture. Some of the gowns at the end were just so exquisite and elegant. I loved how they explained the structure behind the pieces. There was a tiny queue to get in. I bought tickets at the door.
Stunning building! Not that busy and the galery of the fashion of the 18e century was beautiful but a little bit small in my opinion. I wish to have seen more hairstyles/wigs and dresses
Wonderful fashion museum with well laid out, well explained displays. The juxtaposition between historic and modern couture was very well done, as was the emphasis on craftspeople. It was a relatively small exhibit, but with enough information that I could have stayed there for hours.
We visited the impressive temporary exhibition of Rick Owen’s, as well as the standard exhibition of the museum. The exhibits are extraordinary and seem very valuable. At the same time, there is little to no explanation about the context or the respective designer of the pieces. Unfortunately, the museum fails to convey enough information to be interesting for a new non-technical audience. Also, the tidiness of the restrooms could be improved. For fashion experts however, the museum might be a worthwhile visit.
For all those who really in love with the history of fashion. The exposition is well organized. It took 10-20 minutes to entry, a lot of visitors here
Great museum for fashion lovers. They have authentic exhibitions and all that I have visited have been great for learning about fashion history
Small museum so a very short visit but I liked the pieces for a detailed insight of embroidery through the centuries . Pricey though for such a small exhibit
