We had dinner at L'Air du Temps in Toulon and there were definitely some highlights. The location is lovely. Sitting outside by the harbour, overlooking the boats, created a really relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, which made for a nice start to the evening. The meal began well with a delicious starter, and my husband absolutely loved his garlic mussels, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, my main course was a real letdown. I ordered the wok noodles with chicken and vegetables, and it was honestly one of the worst dishes I've had in a long time. As shown in the photo, it looked and tasted like everything had been boiled together in one pot, with no seasoning or flavour. The chicken was dry, and the whole dish was bland. I couldn’t eat it, and disappointing too that no one asked why I had barely touched it. Overall, a mixed experience - great location, friendly service, and some excellent dishes, but my main course was a definite miss.
I chose this place for a late lunch, as it seemed like a lot of locals and regulars use it. I had mussels with a classic sauce, which I enjoyed, but it was a bit bland, so I wish I chose some stronger sauce, as they offer 4-5 different ones. Chilled house rose wine was excellent. Service was excellent, the staff communicate great between each other and offered me all the help in English that was needed. The price was very good for the food and the experience. Recommend!
I ordered ‘wok with duck’. The duck grilled so well and I enjoyed the food whilst the soup of the wok was little bit salty but all and all it was a good meal. I just wanted to highlight that the owner of the restaurant, she was soooooooooo kind and nice!!!
Nice place, not too crowded, reasonably priced as for the location by the water. Perfectly pleasant staff, good food, good wine, what could one want more?
A really lovely restaurant with good food and reasonable prices for the location. The Cafe Gourmand was incredible and always varied each time we ate here. Expect to pay around €8 for your Beer, but that is to be expected considering the location, right on the marina with views out into the harbour. They have a variety of dishes, seafood, the duck was particularly good, and in their Camembert burger they use half a wheel of Camembert for a truly indulgent meal - beware!
Camambert burger was delicious. Restaurant is great with allergies.
Not my place at all. Had the Mariniere mussels and they are better if you buy them frozen. Tiny, tasteless and dirty (hairy). Also had the Caesar salad...their own version of it, left half of it. Typical place in a good location and that is all. Weird and old taky decoration. Too crowded. Trap for tourist. I will not go back to this place.
The female waiters were awesome. But the one male waiter was exceptionally rude! Don't come here if you have kids.
