Avis
Preferred the outside marketplace to the restaurant. Service was good and the sea urchins were the best I saw in Marseille. They were the highlight for me as well as the fact that you can order each oyster one by one literally try 10 different options. Nice excuse to get out of the city center too
Literally outdoor on the street on the sidewalk. But in front of their main restaurant. Very fresh seafood, see urgent. First time I tried unbelievable. The service great, atmosphere perfect way better than most fine dining restaurants I have ever been to. The seafood was so fresh is unbelievable. Definitely going to come back here for dinner. I might try the restaurant but would rather eat where I just had everything on the street.
One of my favorite restaurants now. If you are a seafood lover - it’s your place!
Update April 2025 Same menu no change but service has changed a little bit, food is OK but not wow anymore. Asking for reservations when restaurant is not full. ----------------- I recently had the pleasure of dining at this seafood restaurant, and my experience was a mixed feeling of delights and some disappointments. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with a maritime charm that set the stage for a memorable meal. The younger server who attended to us was an absolute delight, providing attentive and friendly service that enhanced our dining experience. His knowledge of the menu were excellent and his good attitudeadding addee a personal touch to our evening. However, the same could not be said for the other server, whose carelessness left something to be desired. While he was not rude, his lack of attention was noticeable and detracted from the overall experience. Now, onto the star of the show – the food. Every dish we tried was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients. Each bite was a mix of flavors, showcasing the freshness of the seafood and the creativity of the kitchen. And let's not forget about the dessert – it was the perfect finale to our meal, leaving us craving more.
We wanted to find a spot that would serve a Fruits de Mer platter, but for some reason a lot of places were closed on Monday evening, so I found this spot on Google Maps and decided to venture out beyond the Old Port area. Being American, I made us a 7:15pm reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, with only two tables occupied… my wife started to get a bit nervous. But we then remembered that any reservation before 8 is a very American thing to do! Around 8pm the restaurant began filling up with locals; we were at the right spot! Being out of the Old Port area, we didn’t pay tourist pricing and probably had the best lobster we’ve had in a long time. The service staff is very friendly and interacted with us in English. They were having fun and were very attentive to us in explaining the menu. If you’re in Marseille, this spot is a “Can’t Miss”!
Visited some mths back. Seafood dinner that was out of this world. Ingredients are fresh and has very good variety to select from. Everything was prepared nicely and served on a beautiful platter. Service staff is attentive too. The ambience was pleasant and feels very comfortable. I enjoyed my dinner it was a great experience for me. Highly recommend if you are in Marseille.
Well, I took a bus and travelled 30 min for this place and it was a gamble. However, it was so much worth it! The server was nice and very helpful, and the food was amazing. The menu of the day is great, and I enjoyed everything, to the point of me ordering mussels au gratin After the main dish instead of dessert 😅 this place is worth visiting, I highly recommend it! I wish I stayed longer so I could go there again and try the rest of the menu!
Loved everything about this place. Pick your own shellfish (oysters, shrimp, crabs, saint Jacques scallops, octopus salad, caviar, sea urchins, etc) from the stand and enjoy a platter of the freshest seafood ever out on the kiosk terrace in the sun and of course with a bottle of wine. The restaurant is closed in the afternoons, but the street kiosk out front is open all day and doesn’t accept reservations. The guys working we’re friendly and chatty and ended up convincing us into some extra dessert, but all worth it. One of my highlights in Marseille. It’s worth the trip from the city centre.
