We stumbled into La Pépinière for brunch and walked out wondering how anywhere else could possibly compete. The space strikes that rare Parisian balance of elegant without trying too hard, lively but never chaotic. It feels like the kind of place locals secretly hope tourists don’t discover. The light, the energy, the terrace buzz… it’s pure Paris. Now let’s talk about the food. Every plate was stunning without being fussy—fresh, beautifully composed, and actually flavorful (not just pretty-for-Instagram pretty). The kind of brunch that makes you slow down and savor it instead of rushing to the next stop. From perfectly cooked eggs to pastries that practically shattered on first bite, everything felt thoughtful and generous. And then, our waiter Sebastian. Sebastian elevated the entire experience from “great brunch” to “we’re telling everyone about this.” Attentive without hovering, charming without performing, intuitive without being intrusive. He anticipated what we needed before we realized it ourselves. Warm, polished, and effortlessly professional, exactly what hospitality should feel like. La Pépinière delivered the full package: atmosphere, execution, and service that makes you feel genuinely welcomed. If you’re brunching in Paris, this is not optional. It’s essential.
The starters & drinks were really great + the staff & interior were good, however we ordered 3 main dishes an NONE of them were worth it. The seafood noodles tasted like hospital food (no taste whatsoever). The duck was dry & boring. The octopus was super oily & underwhelming. Good location for a few drinks maybe, otherwise do not recommend.
I visited by myself in early November but I totally forgot to post it so here I am now. I ordered the poultry dish for lunch and it was amazing... the sauce and veges and the chicken was so good. All the staffs were friendly too. A good memory of my solo Paris trip✌️ Highly recommend to you all.
Cute place to lounge and have a drink and bite to eat. Food was good. Salmon came with ample amounts of spinach. Service was quick and attentive. The tables were a bit tight together and whether you like it or not, you're taking in smoke from neighbor's tables. Two large TVs broadcast French Open.
A must. Wonderful evening from beginning to end. The Santi spritzer was absolutely phenomenal. The “fish and chips” was a gourmet experience. The fish was fried to perfection in a very crunchy crust. Not your typical. The fries are homemade and amazing. The zucchini was outstanding and my daughter’s lamb melted in your mouth and the thyme flavoring was perfect. The almonds, olives and bread were also delicious.
Really great food and drinks during a trip with my mum in Paris, but by far the highlight was the banter and great chat we received from Sebastian! He was really friendly and had a great personality 😃👌
Great spot for lunch or late afternoon snacks. I stopped here one day when I only had 30 minutes to eat and they were incredibly kind about it. Cute atmosphere with quite a bit of decor. My French onion soup was solid! Would definitely come back. Thanks you the sweet bartender for accommodating my super fast lunch!
Sebastian was womderful! He made excellent dinner recommendations and the food was delicious ! I would highly recommend eating here !
