Although the university positioned itself as standing with Ukraine in 2022, the professors and staff were great admirers of the russkiy mir. I was intimidated and treated badly, with rudeness because I come from a country that is neighbouring and supporting Ukraine. They were not even capable to pronounce the name of my country correctly - calling it in a russian way. There is a double standard between what this university wants to convey publicly and what it actually is. Likewise, the curricula, communication style, rather saying - its deficiency, and methods chosen at my faculty were unfair and did not reflect the exam demands, since the faculty accepted students commencing in the second semester to study with students from the first semester. It was a big educational mistake to me. I regret to have had gotten education in this russkiy mir place.

I have been in the university since 2013. Started as a student in the Diplom Program of mechanical engineering. To say that the TU dresden was an excellent university is maybe an understatement. As a student I did not only have the opportunity to gain theoretical experience, but also alot of practical. The uninversity sets you on the right track to "learn how to learn" and be more independent in doing your research. They also provide you with everything you need in your studies. You want to print out your technical drawings? There is a plotter. You want to have your parts manufactured? There are 3d printers and multiple workshops. Youre in search of a good company to do an internship? The professors have alot of connections. You need good software to calculated or design? You can use them in the PC pools if youre a student. The university has provided the students with a good opportunity to excel.

Planning to enroll as an international student. Can this be a good idea?? Plz if you think it is then react 🙏 or else other reactions.. Just gave 2 stars cause I don't yet know how it is like in uni and gonna add up if I experience good

The university is almost all over the city of Dresden.( Altstadt) The environment though is cool and suitable for studying

Visiting the campus not as a student but as a tourist is worthy of your time. Many historic buildings as well as modern architectures. Interesting sites on the main campus are all within walking distance, but in order to see everything you need to use the bus and/or tram. The cafeterias are open for visitors, too.
