My family and I stayed 4 nights in the Black Pearl cabin and in the room in the main building with a private terrace. Catherine and Alexandre were the perfect hosts! We appreciated the eco-friendly lodging, the delicious (and copious) breakfasts, the tranquility and lovely environment, as well as its location. It's the perfect spot to stay if you want to visit Basse-Terre (beaches, tropical forest, rhum distelleries, Maison du Cacao, botanical garden, etc.).

Beautifully designed wooden rooms with air conditioning and stunning sea views. The hosts are friendly, and the description was spot on. The delicious breakfast is authentic, and I appreciated that you could choose on-site which days you wanted it. The pool is lovely, and there's even a nice pétanque court.

😊: Very clean, everything is there, small but special like a cabin small house. Very good breakfast, nice owners. Good view. Kitchen is small but it has all the necessary equipment.

We spent an enjoyable three nights staying in the Pinta cabin. The buildings stand in an elevated position with views of the sea beyond a tree canopy. Our room had a large balcony with chairs and a table to enjoy the view. Breakfast if ordered is served here and is plentiful with fruit, cereal, yoghurt pastries, bread, jam and cheese plus tea or coffee. This accommodation is far enough from the main road so traffic noise is not really an issue. ||Although not particularly large, the room is well organised, the bathroom area is at the back of the cabin behind the bed. There is a very good shower, a fridge and mosquito netting for the bed. There is a swimming pool and a covered lounge area where tea and coffee is available all day.||Access to the property is up a very steep drive which is difficult to manoeuvre around, and we found it easier to leave the car on ground directly opposite the gate. Although there are no restaurants within walking distance, beaches and restaurants are only a short drive away and the accommodation is well placed to enjoy the attractions of the area.||

We stayed for a week at Carré Royal and loved it! It is a small hotel made up of two cabins in the grounds with beautiful views out to the sea and a further two rooms in the main house, one a self-catering family suite and the other a regular double room. There is also a small pool with a lovely, shaded soft seating area and also sun loungers and parasols directly by the pool.|We stayed in the Pinta cabin, which is nice and spacious with a great private terrace space. The only thing which might not be to everyone’s taste is that the bathroom (shower, loo and basin) and bedroom are in the same room, partitioned by a three-quarter height wall. Breakfast is available for €8 per person and it’s delicious and filling. It’s hosted up on the terrace to the main house, which is essentially part of the owners’ living space. We loved the feeling of being “en famille”! Overall, a really warm, friendly and very comfortable place to stay. Would highly recommend staying if you can!

This place is paradise. We spent 2 nights here in the 2nd week of June 2023. The owners were super friendly, very helpful and discreet. Very nice cottages (we were in the cottage Pinta), well kept environment and quiet by the pool. This is the ideal place to unwind. As an option for a small fee you can have breakfast with a fried egg. Breakfast was more than sufficient and is even brought to your terrace upon request. Do be careful if you have your luggage on the ground because otherwise Alexander gets happy feet 😅 (a joke only he will understand). The cottages are very well taken care of with a nice canopy bed against mosquitoes. Everything was provided and clean. Highly recommended. If we knew this earlier we would definitely have booked more nights here. From this place you can go by car to the following places: Anse de la perle - Plage de Malendure 40min car (to kayak to Reserve Cousteau) - PAM pizza (best pizza in Guadeloupe). And if you don't know where to go, ask Alexander and Catherine. They will be happy to help you. In short, a place for people who like to enjoy a quiet environment. This does not strike me as a stay for party people or people in groups who like to drink and have fun late at night. Ideal for couples who like peace and quiet. We ourselves have had 4 stays in Guadeloupe, this was by far the best! Keep up the good work Catherine and Alexander.

We spent few days at Carré Royal and loved it! Charming little paradise close to the beach, lovely room and super clean. The pool area is zen, a nice place to stay calm. Hosts are discreet, flexible and always open to help. Definitely a place to stay!
