Very clean, safe and convenient station its surrounded both inside and outside by eateries. I did not venture there at night but I would think it would be very safe place. I think there is also a police station within walking distance. It is serviced by buses and trams which should make it easy to reach your destination.
Beautiful station, nice mix of modern and original. Didn't spend much time as we were arriving here but they do have a great convenience store. Felt safe and spacious (obviously always be aware 😉). Easy to get around.
The train station found in Bordeaux. It gets quite busy and as it's not as big as other train stations, expect to feel a little rushed. Luckily the signs are straight forward and you shouldn't feel too rushed. Note that the trains run on time, so if say your ticket says your train will leave at 9h28 AM, it will leave EXACTLY at 9h28 AM. Do NOT be late. The trains are usually at the Gare a good 20-30 minutes in advance or so, and I suggest you plan to be there ahead of your departure.
Best part of this station that it is easy to get any bus or tram, just outside the station! 😊 Another thing is that the new bus station is also close by.
It's quite a big train station, many train services to many towns including Paris....but WC is expensive at €1 per entry and always a queue and not very clean! Our train run by SNCF is on time, clean and comfortable 👌
Nice building structure and design for this station. They need a better restaurant in beside though because the current one is not good at all. Also the Toilette needs to be free of charge! People already purchased the train ticket, they have to pay to utilize the toilet as well?! That is something I don’t understand. More taxi needed as well during the evening. ALSO, they should turn all the stairs into ramps, especially the stairs coming down going up to the platform. Two days ago I witness an elderly man falling down the stairs as he tried to carried his luggage and walk down the stairs. Even for young people it’s hard to go up and down the stairs and luggage not just elderly people. This is very easy to change. Put in a ramp instead.
Not the easiest to navigate as a foreigner, but it got the job done. Efficient path from street to platforms, more so than Paris. Lots of smoking on the open platforms but that’s to be expected. Station in relatively good condition just very crowded during disembarking from large trains.
One of my favourite train stations in France. The gorgeous historic buildings at the city side, the beautiful modern entrance at the other side, the handy underground walkway, the many urban and long-distance transit connections (also night buses from Flixbus, Alsabus and BlaBlaCar), the clean toilets, and all the shops you could need to store up on supplies for a long train journey.
