The place attracted us from the first moment, but we waited more than 30 minutes to order, we were served oil but not bread, after each request to the waiter you waited extremely long.. and the pizza was not as tasty as I would have expected at such a place.. quite disappointing.
Gina is a great Italian restaurant for a cozy and comfortable meal right at the Place Masséna. The food is good and tastes pretty authentic with little twists here and there. I recommend getting a pizza and a fritto misto with a wasabi mayonnaise sauce.
Gina is a charming spot tucked right on the corner of Place Masséna, perfect for a relaxed meal in the heart of Nice. I stopped in for a quick spaghetti bolognese and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and comforting it was. The staff made the experience even better—friendly, playful, and incredibly kind, especially with the many children visiting that afternoon. It’s the kind of place that feels easy, welcoming, and full of character, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in to people‑watch on the square.
What a fabulous location to people watch. We sat outside to have tea and desserts. The crepe fragola was delicious. Really enjoyed it. Our waiter was super friendly as well. Lovely way to spend a bit of time.
I really liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. The prices are higher than in other places, but it's worth it if you care about the interior decor and coziness. The music playlist is really great. A special thanks for the dim lighting after 7 PM, which helps to relax and enjoy the food. The food is truly delicious. We tried the pizza and dessert (profiteroles). Everything was very enjoyable.
Great experience at Gina! We were a group of 6 and had reservations although there were several empty tables. They first placed us at a table with a tree growing in the middle but it made conversation hard so we asked to move and they accommodated. The food was good although quite pricy. I was happy for vegetarian options on the menu. I enjoyed the ravioli although it was nothing spectacular. The aborigine appetizer was my favorite. What really set this place apart was our server, who was busy at first but made up for it with good vibes and cracking jokes. Had a really nice time with him and he spoke English well. Interior is gorgeous and great for picture taking.
This restaurant offers Italian cuisine with a unique twist. The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients that truly stood out. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were not only professional but also genuinely caring, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their attention to detail and friendly service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional Italian food with a special touch.
Atmosphere is great, service, terrible and even the manger who came over said “ok” once we told him how bad the experience was. No one cares. If you want quality service, and not an hour wait for your meal, go somewhere else. The only great thing here was the Spaghetti Bolognese.
