Café Brant in Strasbourg always reminds me of the kind of place I imagined when thinking about France — a classic café-restaurant with a charming atmosphere. I don’t know much about its history, but every visit feels like stepping into that timeless French café culture. The ambiance is wonderful, the waiters are very kind and welcoming, and the food is solid and enjoyable. A lovely place to sit, relax, and experience the spirit of Strasbourg.
I can tell you that they have one of the best croissants 🥐 in town (buttery, smooth, melts in mouth) I ordered light breakfast, it costs about 11 euros, it includes coffee, pressed juice, croissant, french bread 🥖, butter-jam…. I really like the place, they have access to nice sunny side (to sit outside) . The only downside I see is, probably their juice is not as pure as one anticipates (more watery in my opinion) Rest was great, now it’s our go-to place. I highly recommend this place :) Enjoy!!
We went there for breakfast. We arrived there around 10 and there was plenty of space. Around 11am it already started to be a bit more crowded. The service was really good and the waiters were nice, spoke English as well. There are quite a few options but we had the “French” and “Continental breakfast and we shared both. There was quite a lot and everything was fresh and warm. Would definitely recommend it and would go again. The only downside is the coffee. It was not that good a bit burnt in my opinion, over roasted. Everything else-exquisite
It’s a lovely little place with a great location; however, I found it quite overpriced for the quantity and the quality. that being said, service was good and quick. The plat du jour is a good choice if you’re in a hurry. The desserts at the entrance looked good but don’t expect any of those for a café gourmand.
The place to bask in the sun over lunch break. Excellent choice of offerings, with vegetarian and vegan options on request.
The croissant is good enough. The drinks are also good. But the service quality is very slow.
The best pancakes we have ever tried!
I have never drunk such bad coffee in my life. Initially I came here for eating since was starving. The waitress said the kitchen is closed (6 pm) for meals. I don’t blame him, I blame all restaurants/cafes working with this time schedule. Where should hungry people eat which were late for lunch if all the restaurants in the city close their kitchen? Interior and location of the place is nice. The prices are too expensive for what they offer. Unfortunately, there aren’t other cafeterias nearby. But I would avoid this cafeteria next time.
