Most of the Staff are very good. Odd staff member will not acknowledge you because you do not speak French. I would hazard a guess that most of the people who stay here are from out of Paris and even outside France. Reception area is lovely and modern, in contrast the rooms are dated and in desperate need of a refurb. Now a dated room is not a problem in itself, but the bed was creaky and upon inspection it looks like a wood frame mounted on a metallic base. The bed leans this way and that depending on where you put your weight (most disappointing bed ive ever slept in). Even the flipping 80's bathtub was creaking underfoot as I showered. This weekend was very hot around 30 degrees, the aircon in the room is non existent, again a relic from the past that just doesnt work effectively. If you are in a room facing the sun, the room gets rather hot and stuffy. The car park is a very narrow single lane in and out. If you have a larger vehicle or big alloys you will have issues (not to mention 20 euro a day for the privilage). Tourist tax is also charged at around 8.5 euro per person per night. So if there is a group or family you end up paying and considerable sum on top of your booking at reception. Saying all this, the hotel is probably priced about right. You will definitely have to pay more for better facilities.
Stayed at Novotel Paris Est recently. The hotel really needs to refresh and renovate its rooms, as they feel quite outdated. Unfortunately, many of the room facilities were not working properly, including the air conditioning, refrigerator, plumbing system, and several other amenities.||The only positive aspects of this hotel were the helpful service team, who genuinely tried their best to assist whenever possible, and the pleasant lobby ambience.
On arrival, my rooms was not what I had expected. The beds are very hard and are not comfortable the pillows are also hard. Staff is great at the front upon entry, they are very friendly. Moez at the bar was fabulous! He was very fun to talk to and knowledgeable, he gave us the best experience.
From /FM/ I would agree that the hotel is quite practical, and its location offers many advantages, as there are metro stations nearby that allow guests to easily reach more central areas of the city. I felt safe throughout my stay, especially thanks to the hotel’s security. However, I cannot overlook the unfriendly service and the lack of basic English skills, which are essential for communication between tourists and staff. There also seemed to be a lack of basic first aid knowledge in case of emergencies.... Overall, I would say that this hotel is suitable for spending a night, but not ideal for a relaxing holiday. 😵💫
Great hotel and location. Rooms were a bit smaller than expected. The highlight was the breakfast. Really rich and the stuff was always helpful with our children. We even became friends.kleia Rucid and were accomodating and we will always remember them..
Would give this hotel half star if possible. Travelled in a large group and we waited our room until 11pm, unfriendly staff especially the front desk, not helpful at all and even rude. The room is hot, not even clean there was a piece of fake eyelash on the bathroom.
A really terrible experience. I stayed alone, but the front desk staff charged me double the city tax. It's obvious the staff is very unprofessional. When I asked for a refund, the staff told me to come back the next day.The next day, the staff asked me to come back on my check-out date. On check-out day I asked for a refund, and the staff member told me the manager was on break and wouldn't be back until later. I was really upset and demanded they give me my money back right away. Only then did the staff member say they'd check with a higher-up manager. They're asking for my credit card info again because I didn't bring my card with me .This doesn't meet the requirements of any country at all. From this incident, it's clear that both the employees' professionalism and their problem-solving skills are extremely disappointing.
Rooms are outdated and very, very old. The bathroom doesn't have a shower, just a hand shower in a bath tub. The toilet is in a separate room and is very small , old, and dirty. The room has a window that does not open and the room becomes really hot with the central heating system. The staff are not very friendly, no one at front desk can speak good English, which made it difficult for us to communicate with them. Breakfast: there's not much options and its the exact same breakfast we had for 2 days. Very disappointed and will not recommend Novotel Hotel. It definitely didn't live up to its name or standards.
