Great seasonal tasting menu with thoughtful & playful presentation, main step/course was hand delivered by the chef owner during lunch service which was a nice touch with table side sauces poured. Server was patient, attentive & knowledgeable offering a great wine pairing recommendation and great service!
I wish I could do 6 stars for service! Our waiter was the nicest! The food was very nice - we got the 3 courses menu, with a starter, main dish and a dessert - all 3 dishes were amazing & very well prepared. The ambience is also very nice, tables are beautiful and the seating is very comfortable
We had a great experience at Anto. We went for the four course meal and every dish that came out was made to perfection. Everything tasted very fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The wine choice was excellent and paired really well with the meal. The restaurant itself is very cute and cosy, a perfect spot to have a relaxing meal. We also got to taste a couple of complimentary dishes sent by the chef, which was such a lovely touch. Big thanks to the chef, and a special thank you to Alfonso for his excellent service. He made our evening feel comfortable, welcoming, and really enjoyable. A lovely place with great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. We would definitely recommend it
10 + ~ Had a wonderful birthday celebration dinner here at Anto. The whole experience was very pleasant and the chef is extremely talented. Each dish was skillfully prepared and presented. The server was very sweet and she was very helpful in explaining the menu. Thinking of going back again while in Annecy! Highly recommend.
We chose the 6-course menu. Overall, the food was good, with nice flavor combinations and some healthy, thoughtful choices. We also appreciated that the chef was able to accommodate a replacement for one of the dishes on the fly, which was a nice touch. The meal started at a very good pace, but once the restaurant became busier, it was clear that the two servers were struggling to keep up. In the end, we spent 2 hours and 45 minutes there, which felt far too long — especially for guests who were not drinking wine and were not looking for an extra-long dining experience. To their credit, they did offer us complimentary coffee or tea because of the delay, which was appreciated, although by that point we were more interested in finishing the meal than extending the evening further. The atmosphere was pleasant at first, but once the restaurant filled up, it became noticeably more hectic, with staff rushing around. Another challenge was the language barrier: no one seemed to speak English well enough to clearly explain the dishes, which made the experience less enjoyable. At one point, when five cheeses were served, the waiter named four of them and then gave up on the fifth, simply saying he didn’t know what it was and that we should just enjoy it. The staff were polite, friendly, and clearly trying their best, but at this price level, guests should be able to understand what they are being served. Overall, the food was enjoyable and the staff were kind, but the pacing and service execution took away from what could have been a much better experience.
A fantastic find in Annecy! Food was superb: colorful, beautifully presented, light and fresh, so delicious and creative. Extremely good value. Very kind service in a simply yet tastefully decorated restaurant. The energetic chef is present both in the kitchen and dining area. What a great diner! I highly recommend. Bravo to the small team!
Good food, especially the fish with a variety of carrot. However we had higher expectations given the price point. The service was a bit too formal, possibly because the staff wasn’t very comfortable speaking english. At times quite difficult to understand the presentation of the dishes.
Lovely decor, welcoming hosts. The food was exemplary and very well explained. Our host recommended a wine based on our taste and she hit the nail on the head. I’d rush back, were I in Annecy again.
