LES JARDINS DE LUMIERES

I loved the quiet meditative walk through the green well kept and labeled plants. There are some areas closed off yet viewable. I enjoyed the tropical room with the range of foliage. It felt like a mini forest with huge leaves and some flowering greens. There are stone benches for rest and reflection. I noticed the greenhouse for desert 🏜 plants. Its quite a variety. Enjoy the peaceful contrast to a very busy crowded tourist visit. This is a welcome immersion in nature.

The garden was beautiful and there were nice spots to sit down and relax as well, but the greenhouses looked abandoned and were closed off.

A small, free, but very rich botanical garden at the university. It is important to note that opening hours vary depending on the season. In November, it was open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. But I recommend visiting it, as there are also greenhouses there.

Area is under construction, so there is an alternate entrance. Free to enter and walk the grounds. It's a beautiful park like setting. Very peaceful.

Simply one of the most beautiful places in a city filled with beauty, a nice place to calm down or to be active, especially for fans of roses and storks^^.

I would recommend easily 90 minutes for non « plant specialists ». The two areas I really liked were the greenhouses. As it is not near all the main « attractions » of Strasbourg, there is not a lot of tourists, which allows you to really enjoy the botanical garden. Tips: - Don’t forget to visit the greenhouses, however it may be hot inside them. - Do not forget to watch when the garden is opened, as it is not near all the other « main » attractions.

An oasis of tranquility just off the tramway. Interesting selection of trees, bushes and plants, a bit overgrown in some areas. A visit to the tropical plant greenhouse is a nice bonus. The paintings dotted around present some diverse interpretation of themes.

Very beautiful place and calm, good if you want to go for a relaxing walk with a freind. There are many types of plants.
