I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée a few days after it reopened, so I want to give them some grace. The team was very friendly throughout, and it was clear people were trying. But the hotel still felt very much like it was working through reopening issues. The service at breakfast was especially rough. We ordered coffee three times before it arrived, which took about 30 minutes. The coffee finally arrived right at the end of breakfast, when we had to leave. A staff member said she would run and be back in a minute, but it still took another five minutes when we were running late. The staff also seemed frazzled across the hotel. At the bar, the bartender did not know where the bathroom was and had to ask someone else, which was strange for a hotel of this caliber. The property itself is a mix. Some renovated areas are quite nice (room and gym), but some areas feel oddly untouched. The third-floor bathrooms, for example, did not feel renovated, and the floor was dirty at the restaurant. We also had multiple issues with our room door not closing or locking properly. That became frustrating because we had to keep going back to get help or new keys. Overall, everyone was friendly, and I hope these are just reopening kinks. But for now, the hotel does not feel fully ready or polished enough for the price point or brand.

We spent a few days at the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée before heading to Paris, and the hotel delivered exactly what you want for a quick coastal escape. The location is unbeatable as it is right across from the ocean and steps from the restaurants and shops that make Nice so easy to enjoy.||Check-In was smooth and professional, handled by a team that clearly knows hospitality. The lobby is grand and impressive, though more of a pass through than a place to linger (which is not a bad thing).||Our room was comfortable, but the balcony was the true highlight. Being on a high floor meant sweeping views of both the city and the sea, and we spent most of our time out there soaking in the scenery.||We gravitated to the Le 3e Restaurant terrace bar throughout the stay. Great drinks, relaxed seating, and ocean views that felt like a hidden gem – Just minus the pigeons who were a little too eager to join us. ||A special nod to the Concierge for recommending Castle Hill for a free afternoon. The views of Nice and the marina were spectacular and absolutely worth the visit!

The pictures advertised for the room that we booked didn’t match the real room that we received. Instead of a cute little terrace, we got a weird half window. They tried to make us pay for an upgrade. I don’t understand why I have to pay for an upgrade when we didn’t receive a proper room to begin with. Leaving it after a night stay. Will not be coming back.

One of our favorite hotels in Nice! The location is fantastic, but what truly makes this hotel shine is the customer service. The front desk staff were very apologetic that they didn’t have a suite available for us (as Globalists), and their genuine attitude made us feel they were doing the best they could given the circumstances. This is our second time staying here, and during our previous visit we were upgraded to a suite, so I believe they would have upgraded us again if one had been available. That said, we were upgraded to a top-floor room with the best ocean view, which was wonderful. We had breakfast every morning at the ocean-facing restaurant, and it was such a lovely experience. We still talk about how amazing the omelet station was! There are also super dog friendly, and their concierge is always helpful! This hotel goes far beyond a typical Hyatt Regency, and we can’t wait to return.

Quick, smooth, and relaxing stay at Hyatt Regency Nice! My visit was short but sweet, everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. The highlight? Definitely the pool at the spa, pure bliss and beautifully maintained. Big kudos to the team for making the experience seamless and serene. Would love to return for a longer stay!

I booked the Hyatt Regency Nice expecting the level of quality and service associated with the Hyatt brand and a 5-star property, but what I experienced was far from it. The furniture in the room was shockingly old, scratched, and completely outdated. It honestly felt like it hadn’t been renovated in decades. The bathroom was the same story – like stepping back ten or more years, which is not what you expect when paying such high rates. On top of that, there was a stain on the ceiling and poor cleaning throughout the room – absolutely unacceptable, especially when you’ve just checked in. For the price, this hotel is a complete letdown. The furniture desperately needs a full renovation, the cleaning standards are clearly not at a luxury level, and the overall feel is more of a tired 3-star property than a 5-star Hyatt. To make matters worse, this “luxury” hotel doesn’t even offer free parking. For the prices they charge, it feels insulting to nickel-and-dime guests on something so basic. For this level of bad quality, they should seriously consider lowering their nightly rates, because there are plenty of true 5-star hotels with modern, state-of-the-art furniture and much lower prices. This is simply not competitive and not reflective of Hyatt’s reputation. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing and absolutely not worthy of a return visit. Save your money – there are far better options in Nice.

Very nice hotel and pool. Excellent service. Good location close to the old town (about 10 mins walk). The breakfast was a bit disappointing in terms of food quality but the view is breathtaking. Nice steam room and sauna too. Overall very enjoyable experience. A bit on the expensive side but I guess that’s what you pay to be in the center of nice in the summer season.

It was an amazing holiday, thanks to Hyatt and their team. Had an unpleasant experience with other hotel and booked Hyatt immediately. Mentioned that would arrive early by 11am, and by 10:30am already received an email that the room was ready. David at the reception was super sweet, explained all and checked us in. The room cleaning was done daily while going for breakfast, didn’t even have to ask. The view from the room was perfect, the breakfast was cool, the pool temperature was quite cold, but we didn’t need it much since were exploring the cities. The hotel has a casino attached, which was superb fun to spend your evenings. Overall, the best pick and was super happy with an outcome. Not to mention all the staff we interacted with were professional and a really 5* hotel standard.
