Tucked away in the back of the bustling Daraoco Bourse restaurant, the intimate speakeasy vibe cocktail bar had its own melody. We were lucky to be seated in the middle of the U shaped bar. Introduced to the French edition of the Danico Xplorer cocktail menu where this iteration of drinks is inspired by France’s regional culinary traditions, local ingredients, and spirits. These offerings are part of the final chapter in a series of seasonal menus dedicated to other cultures (e.g. Mexico and Japan). My favorite of the night came in the form of France in a Perfume bottle: citadelle gin, St-Germaine, jasmine, flower cordial, elderflower pickles, and ylang-ylang. The sweetness from the ylang ylang was both aromatic and seductive with spirt forwardness that doesn’t get lost in the floral scents. Along with the fun and talented bartenders, there were a few regulars and new comers that contributed to the enchanting wavelength at Danico, sharing other places that share a similar level of craftsmanship for cocktails. Look forward to another seasonal menu in the future. Merci beaucoup!
An exceptional cocktail experience at Danico. The drinks were creative, perfectly balanced, and absolutely deserving of their place among the World’s 50 Best Bars. We tried the Tarte Tatin, Ratatouille, Le Cocktail du Moment, and a Basil Smash every cocktail was outstanding and memorable in its own way. The service inside the bar was also exceptional: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Th only small downside was the communication with the staff at the door, which could have been a bit warmer and clearer. Aside from that, everything was fantastic. Definitely a place worth visiting if you appreciate high-level cocktails.
Hands down one of the best cocktail experiences. Everything was blended so well and captured the taste of French cuisine. Well deserved top 50 bars ranking. Staff were very attentive and professional. We tried Tarte Tatin, Ratatouille, Le Parisien, Paris Brest, Ide Fix, Terminal 2F. All of them so unique and well balanced, it makes you wonder how they managed to combine all the flavours so well, while making it taste like a real deal. I’m writing this review more than a month after the visit, and I can still recall the taste of each cocktail (in a good way!), which is a testament to how well made they are. Definitely will come back next time I’m in Paris.
Danico is one of the best cocktail bars in Paris. Their creations are world class, the staff is kind and friendly, and the speakeasy atmosphere is unbeatable. Not to be missed!
We found Danico cocktail bar on our first night in Paris. It gave us an unforgettable experience with an unforgettable cocktail to match. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and explained how the menu is curated through lots of travel and research. All cocktails offered on the menu are diverse and like nothing you'll have seen or tasted before! The "Paris Brest" cocktail is the one we both chose, and it was amazing. It was a creamy cocktail, that tasted like a mixture of Baileys, Biscoff, and Praline. Beautiful! The price point is high-end, but for the cocktail itself as well as the service I'd say it's worth it for a one-off or a treat. We didn't have chance to try the food, however it smelled lovely as we passed through the restaurant. Thank you Danico!
Easy to see why this is in the top bars 2025, they feature an excellent rotating menu of thematic and amazing crafted drinks. We happened to visit when they were doing a France theme for their around the world visits at the end of the year which was perfect for me as a first time Paris visitor. My French partner said they nailed the French classics such as a Tarte Tatin and Paris Brest in drink format. The savory ratatouille was really interesting too. These drinks may not be here if you see this later than January 2026 since they change menus. We walked in for 2 on a Monday around 7pm with no wait. To get inside you have to walk through the restaurant into the back. The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive, our host walked us through the menu and struck up conversation.
Drinking a great cocktail is not merely an act of consumption. It is a full sensory symphony, and like any great performance, every instrument must play its part. It begins before the glass even reaches your lips. Sound arrives first — the percussive rattle of ice tumbling into a shaking tin, the rhythmic clatter of a mixing glass, the crisp snap of a citrus peel being expressed over the surface. Then comes sight: the theatre of presentation, the architectural elegance of the glassware, the jewel-toned liquid catching the light, the considered artistry of a garnish placed just so. You reach out and touch the glass — that deeply satisfying, almost primal coolness radiating through your fingertips, a silent promise of what's to come. You lean in, and smell draws you into a private world of botanicals, spirits and imagination before you've taken a single sip. Only then does taste arrive — the crescendo, the payoff, the reason you're here. Strip away even one of these elements, and you're no longer experiencing a cocktail. You're experiencing four-fifths of one. Which brings me, with genuine reluctance, to Danico. The cocktails here are, without any qualification, extraordinary. Unique, impeccably conceived, and crafted with a precision that makes you feel privileged to be drinking them. This is world-class mixology, and it absolutely deserves its place among the world's 50 best bars. And yet. The lighting. Danico's atmosphere leans so aggressively into shadow that the visual dimension of the experience — the very thing that distinguishes a handcrafted cocktail from a drink poured in the dark — is all but erased. I found myself reaching for my phone torch simply to read the menu, which, at €17–18 a cocktail, felt less like intimate ambiance and more like an involuntary puzzle. The small candle flickering in its glass vessel on the table offered itself as an alternative — until it took a small but memorable revenge on my fingers. The management may wish to consider that
Hand down the best bar experience we had in Paris (and they were all great experiences), but the team at Danico is top tier. Every cocktail was perfect; balanced yet intense in flavor, and all delicious enough to drink over and over. Easily some of best cocktails we have had anywhere in the World. Each drink is intentional and very well executed. And they hit every opportunity for hospitality from start to finish. Small food menu with pizza from the attached restaurant. The GiGi was the perfect snack while we drank.
