A privilege to experience poultry that cant be found on regular menus. I liked the classic roasted chicken over the than coq au vin. They didnt have the la poulet de bresse (so call ahead to check, if thats your reason for visitng). Staff were super friendly and kind so you feel looked after.

Truly the best roast chicken I’ve ever had. The flavours are so beautiful and simple. The gravy incroyable. Lovely lovely establishment à Montmartre and will 100 percent be returning.

The mushroom soup was exceptional, having a creamy yet light consistency that was both hearty and balanced. The quarter chicken, a main course, was perfectly cooked, notably juicy with an outstanding flavor profile. While the compote dessert was satisfactory, it did not meet the high standard set by the preceding dishes. They also gave us complimentary chocolates that were a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth treat. The service was also great! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. The culinary expertise of the chef and the good quality of ingredients utilized are distinctly evident.

Restaurant was well decorated. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The roast quarter chicken was beautiful and the jus was the highlight. The coq au vin was just a little saltier than preferred and I recommend paring with the potato puree(mash).

We were able to just walk in without a reservation. But there wasn't much room left so I would recommend reserving a table to ensure you are able to enjoy. We ordered a 1/4 chicken with a side of fries and Mac and cheese which was strongly recommended by iur waiter. The food did not disappoint. My wife stated that the food was orgasmic. I would agree! The mac and cheese was a great recommendation. We also were recommended to have the Ile flottante for dessert. It was also mouth watering. The flavours of all the dishes were simply out of this world.

An outstanding dinner with superb poultry and a wonderful atmosphere I had dinner at Coq & Fils this evening and the experience was truly exceptional. The chicken, which is clearly the star of the menu, was outstanding: perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and full of flavor, with a rich yet well-balanced sauce. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and there is a real sense of respect for both the product and the culinary tradition behind it. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and very pleasant — refined without being formal, making it easy to enjoy the evening at a comfortable pace. The table setting is simple but tasteful, contributing to an overall feeling of understated elegance. Dessert was equally memorable and beautifully executed, providing a perfect ending to a remarkable meal. All in all, a fantastic dining experience that fully lives up to its reputation. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food, excellent execution, and a genuinely enjoyable ambiance.

Was excited about eating our final French dish, Coq au vin! We ordered the Coq au Vin Quarter. It was overly salty! Disappointing as we read such good reviews. The wines were good. The ‘poached eggs with Hollandaise and peanuts was a cold dish, and the peanuts were not mashed (as stated in the menu). We had asked for tap water, they brought water in a bottle with the name of the restaurant and we thought it was their container. Turned out it was ‘filtered tap water’ for which we were charged €3. Pricey for what we had. Value was missing for us. The service was good. When you asked for the bill, you have to use your phone to pay through the QR code for your table and we did not get a printed receipt.

Came across this restaurant while googling for good coq au vin in Paris. What do I say...the recommendation was on point! I could taste the depth in the vin sauce that had an earthy flavour with onions and mushrooms blending so perfectly with the dish. The chicken was tender and fall off the bone...one of the best dishes I've had in Paris! The dessert Il flottante was just as good...it was my first time having and it was a pleasant surprise. It was so airy almost felt like slicing through the clouds. Though the decor was a bit cramped, I still enjoyed the overall experience because despite being a solo diner they still gave their full attention.
