It's my first time eating Antillaise food, I got the shrimp sandwich. It was good. Asked for Creole sauce which prompted the question if I wanted it spicy.... I asked for it and couldn't taste any spicyness.... I probably shouldn't be surprised as I'm white and this is France, but I was disappointed. This seems like a mainly take-away place, which isn't surprising as the food was about as lukewarm as I'd expect after a 15 minute delivery route, however I got it right from the counter and ate it 5 minutes later. So freshness isn't really their priority. To be fair, I did order 30 minutes before closing time, so I can understand to get rid of fries that have been sitting there for a while. Speaking of the fries, I can't recommend adding sweet potato fries for an extra €... They were soggy and not great. The sandwich however was pretty good, particularly the bread, kind of a dense bread similar to naan but certainly fried which lent a nice crunch to the outside contrasting well with the moist dense but slightly fluffy interior. And the amount of shrimp for a €10 sandwich impressed me. Definitely budget shrimp but I didn't get sick so no complaints from me beyond the flavor and texture of the gambas. The overall flavor? Eh it needed more pizzazz, I should have brought my hot sauce. One interesting aspect to this place is that they have a surprising drink selection. Interesting sodas and canned teas, but also a rum counter. I believe €4 a shot. Anyways it's nothing crazy but very unexpected, earning it one more star than the food itself deserves.
Very good surprise. I took the « poulet boucané » which is chicken and it had a very good smoked taste, probably one of the best tasting meats I ever eaten in a fast food restaurant. The dessert « tourment goyage » was also good.
He make these liquors that are soooo good, and the bokit was good as well. I'm not a fan of the sweet potato fries because even at home I still don't like them so you can't take me review on them.
A good place to eat when visiting Parc de la Villette. Great food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. We had the salted cod, rice and salad which warmed us up on a cold day.
A real treasure inside Paris for authentic Guadeloupean food. I paid a visit to try the cuisine for the first time. Not only was the food amazing but did I also get some samples from the employees to try different things. Amazing people and an amazing restaurant with warm people, if you’re hesitating to go, don’t!
Nice little place. Delicious food and great value. Meal on my photo cost just 10€.
