For lunch, we ordered two appetizers and a main course each. My favorite was the Snails in Parsley Butter, which was delicious without being too salty. The Medallion of Block of Duck Foie Gras with Smoked Salt was also alright. The beef and salmon were seasoned in typical French restaurant style. The food was reasonably priced, and I would definitely visit again in the future.
One of the typical Paris places for streaming food. Very tasty food at a low price, for many people. It is an attraction in itself with all the service and a lively atmosphere with thousands of people from all over the world in one place. Be sure to make a reservation. A must visit!
Simple food with tons of value. Over two nights here we had foie gras twice, escargot, and the mayo eggs as starters, needless to say the duck liver pate was the star worth repeating. The others were very average. The beef bourguignon over pasta was very plain, lacking depth. The duck confit and cassoulet were decent. I believe the pork shank was the most exciting dish there, other than the profiterole was incredible…and befits the praise. It IS French “fast food” with great value however lacking the character of a culinary experience on any level. I’d say more of a young persons place. Perfect to chase an empty stomach after an evening of drinks. Here is the SHOCKER…we were seated near the servers station and witnessed the table bread being recycled?!? Any left over bread was being put back into the basket and reserved. Figuring it was customary dismissing it until I read it is illegal and a gross trespass of health and safety regulations. Go eat but stay away from the bread.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Flawless! A Lifesaver of a Meal After a truly terrible experience at another restaurant earlier in the day, our moods were incredibly low. Thankfully, we decided to visit Bouillon Pigalle, and it completely turned our entire day around! We arrived between 5:30 and 6:00 PM just before the dinner rush, and because it wasn't too busy yet, we were seated almost immediately. From that moment on, everything was perfection. The food was absolutely delicious and hit every single mark: - French Onion Soup: Rich, comforting, and topped with a gorgeous, perfectly melted layer of cheese. - Caramelized Pork: Wonderfully tender, savory, and packed with incredible flavor, served alongside a mountain of crispy fries. - Crème Brûlée: The ideal finale, featuring a beautifully shattered caramelized sugar crust and a rich, smooth custard base. As incredible as the food was, the outstanding service is what truly stole the show. We need to give massive props to Loïs. She’s an absolute superstar! She was a total breath of fresh air. Her friendly, deeply positive energy completely lifted our spirits. She was constantly checking in on us, making sure we were perfectly taken care of, and genuinely making us feel welcome. Bouillon Pigalle delivered the ultimate dining experience right when we needed it most. We love it so much that we are absolutely going back one more time before we head home. Don't hesitate, just go!
I went to Pigalle to try this restaurant as locals recommend it as it is very affordable compared to those other Buillion places. It was busy for a late afternoon but they quickly accomodated me. I ordered Onion Soup for a starter. It was served quick, warm and flavourful. Next is Steak and Frites. However, i find the meat really tough and hard to slice and chew. Creme Brulee is a must to try and i’ll order it over and over again. It is so smooth, buttery and the sweetness is not overpowering which i love. All in all, it is worth the try.
Highly recommed the snails and the Ile flotant, it were delicious. The service was really fast and the waiter recommended us their speciallity meals and drinks. Lower price than many other restaurants in Paris.
Booked a 1-person reservation 3 days ahead, got 30 minutes early and got a spot but it still took 30 minutes after I sat to get my order taken. food came out in a reasonable time. duck was very very good, very tender, definitely if you like dark meats its perfect for you. good place to test a bunch of french "classics" since its cost efficient. on the menu it says "a coffee with your dessert? its one euro" which specifically means the COFFEE is 1 euro, I definitely misinterpreted it but either way the cost here is not immense. the bread for the os a moelle was way too hard (too thick+too crispy) even for my young, spry teeth. Escargot green oil works well with the fries, if you get them, which are also good; order sauce with your fries if you want it because it doesnt come automatically. cost goes into taste and view, the service is focused to be very efficient.
Great food at such affordable prices! We had a reservation which I would highly recommend you do if you want to dine here as the queue for non reservation was very long. Service was quite slow but it was very busy and the food was definitely worth the wait. Would highly recommend.
