Initially, I thought it was a hotel restaurant, nothing out of the ordinary. But what a surprise! The food, at the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant (and I have eaten in many restaurants around the world). The service, impeccable. The staff, extremely friendly. Even though we don't know French at a conversational level, they didn't make us feel uncomfortable for a second. You can communicate in English very easily. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Had high expectations for some proper French cooking, and it was met with mixed feelings. The pork belly dish was good, but not great. The lamb burger, with haloumi and tzatziki is truly awful, and I suggested to the waiter that it should be removed from the menu. There is nothing French or classy about it. A plain burger roll, not toasted, not buttered, just soggy and tasteless. Our dessert was very enjoyable, and the best part of the meal. Also, the waiters were very helpful and friendly, so they helped to make it a nice evening.
I am impressed by their main dishes and desserts. Octopus burger, I never thought this combination, but it exceeded my expectation for a burger. Another main dish we have is monkfish with autumn vegetables. All seasonal foods tasted great. We tried the Lebanon dessert and an avocado one. You definitely need to try them. Lebanon one is a cake decorated with pistachio and caramels nut. the cake body is covered by a white layer that has a strong rose aroma. this is the greatest dinner we had in Marseille.
The newly opened brasserie is the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for great quality food, friendly staff and efficient service. The menu is simple focusing on a smaller range of well curated dishes rather than a “all you can eat” style. The cook is a very approachable and super talented guy, his dishes are little art creations full of flavor. The restaurant manager and the rest of the staff is really going to look after you. On Sunday they are open for lunch offering fixed menu, which is a good alternative at a reasonable price. Prices vary from around €15 for a starter to around €25 for a main. If you are in the area I would strongly recommend to pay them a visit, this place is a little gem that deserves to be discovered.
This was the best food I ever had!! This was even better than a Michelin Star restaurant I ate at. Le Capucin seriously deserves a Michelin Star. We paid 49 euros for the food in the pictures including room service charge. Their famous Fish Soup was in the steel tea pots, we were blown away by the incredible flavour. This would honestly cost over $200 in Canada. I have no idea why this place only has a 4.3 rating, I wonder if jealous competition has put up bad reviews to bring their rating down? They deserve a 5 Star rating all around!!
Delicious food. We had the pea soup, the kofta beef, and fish. All super delicious! There was also a kids menu of grilled chicken and fries. Also delicious!
Highly recommended. Excellent food, great hospitality from a well experienced staff. New restaurant with a fresh approach to French cuisine.
Absolutely disappointing 😞 We took starter, main and dessert, thinking that it will be delicious but the food had no taste. Starter was too salty and you couldn't differentiate any of the ingredients. I took the butcher piece and the piece had too many gristle which made it hard to enjoy. It came with no vegetables just potatoes. The dessert was another disappointment unfortunately. You can taste that the caramel on the tasting was about to burn. Very expensive and disappointing experience. The waitress did not ask if we enjoyed it , probably because they saw our plates and faces. Very nice staff buy bad and no taste food.
