BEBBOUCHE BOUALEM

We wandered in to Babouche while looking for a nice place to eat away from the crowds of the old port. It wasn’t open yet, but they kindly let us in for a drink while we waited for the kitchen to open. The food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had appetizers, tagines, couscous, dessert, and a Moroccan wine. They were all excellent.

Incredible culinary experience. By far the best Moroccan food I have ever had. Will come to Marseille again just to eat here 😋

A delightful find. Love the cosy interior decor and friendly service. Our chicken tagine with lemon and olives hit the right notes; the cous cous was done perfectly fluffy; and the chicken pastilla pastry was flaky-crunch delish. Authentic unapologetic sweet tea perfectly rounded off our experience.

So yummy foods. A portion was big for me. At first sight, I underrated this portion and of course, I was so wrong. The serving was great. Even when the restaurant was full and we had to take the bar seats first, I still felt welcomed. The waitresses were nice and helpful as well. After a while, we were allowed to take seats at the table.

We had a great time at Baboush during our trip to Marseille. Excellent authentic food, a very friendly waitress and very affordable prices! Thank you for hosting us so well!

Great food, generous portions and friendly staff. The only thing I might suggest is dimming the lights, or at least switch some of them off. They had lots of lights and candles on. It was unnecessary and such a waste of energy. Bright as a science lab it was! Besides that, we really enjoyed our food.

Wonderful fresh cooking, very quick friendly service. I highly recommend the tajine poulet it was delicious.

A beautiful experience. The entrées were especially fantastic - interesting and subtle. The couscous was perfect. The service was excellent and the room so attractive. Nickel.
