Avis
This huge out of place statue of which the Marseille people are not a fan of, certainly does bring a smile to ones face. The artist wanted to relay a symbolic gesture of hope and hapiness to all and he succeeded. However, in all honesty, I would have definitely placed it elsewhere.
Teddy bear 🧸 statue, it’s catches your attention. Great work by the artist.
Tallest bear sculpture in the world !! Great tour on the promenade and view in historic buildings and some more pop culture
This 5-meter-tall pop art teddy bear sculpture by Jayet was installed in 2020 as a tribute to healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by the Roman god Janus, its two faces symbolize the past and the future. The bright orange color conveys a message of hope. Originally a temporary exhibit, it remains partially on display. Its surreal contrast with the nearby La Major Cathedral, the MUCEM, and the sea makes it a striking visual landmark.
Loved the statue and the views!! Very eye catching
A delightful and whimsical sculpture by artist Jayet, this giant orange teddy bear stands proudly at 4 Boulevard Jacques Saadé. Installed in 2020, it symbolizes hope and creativity, offering a cheerful photo spot near the waterfront. A charming surprise amidst the city’s historic surroundings.
Teddy Bear Statue is definitely eye-catching and fun and such a cool thing to see in Marseille. The only downside is that the artist’s signature is placed prominently across the front of the bear, and it feels a bit distracting from the overall look of the piece. Aside from that, it’s a memorable and charming spot to check out while exploring the city.
Amazing statue in the heart of Marseille, you can not come here without witnessing this work of art. Should become the 8th world wonder, a beautiful orange bear.
