If I could give 10 stars, I would! The team in this Tourism Office site is among the best (if not THE)---so welcoming, so warm, so helpful. My kids and I were at wits end because of the stress of the Citron Festival (so many people, so chaotic!), and so we were desperate. So we ducked into the office as it seemed so tranquil and safe. Voila! It was. I asked the first question in my head, "Excuse me, ou sont les toilettes?" And the lady who responded was so sweet, so helpful, so clear, thar this beginner French speaker understood it all. My husband instantly relaxed and we were invited to look at the beautiful selection of produits Mentonnaise. Ended up getting a most charming pair of lemon earrings and the children their choice of sucette de citron. And the woman at the cashier, oh so glamorous with her French-manicured nails! Inspired me a lot. Merci beaucoup pour le bon accueil a nous! 5 etoile! Bisous
Nice staff. Would have liked a more detailed map of Menton.
The lemon festival is not very well organized, especially when it comes to the toilets. The queues stretch across the whole road
We got a map of the town and useful information about Menton
First place to go in Menton if you've never been there. Housed in the beautiful Palais de l'Europe. The staff will enthusiastically answer all your questions and mark up your free map with POIs.
Horrible. One lazy woman who didn’t want to help anyone who sat at a desk along the windows. There were at least 3-4 groups wanting help or info. None of the 3 women working greeted anyone who entered the office. One lady was helping a group so it was understandable that she hadn’t greeted anyone but the other two women sat there surfing the internet. A waste of money hiring those women as they reflect poorly on Menton. The woman i interacted with could not give me any information on public transportation. It’s hypocritical for Menton to say that they are trying to reduce the carbon footprint of tourist by trying to promote other forms of transportation to and around the city, when the tourism office can’t even offer any information regarding public transportation. As the French public transportation is not very intuitive nor information easily digestible, it would help many for the tourism office to help break it down for tourists. This interaction with the tourism office left a bitter taste and makes me feel less likely to refer Menton as a tourist destination to anyone. This is sad because there is so much potential wasted because lazy people in the tourism office can’t be bothered to work properly. Perfect example of people who have government jobs that don’t do any work.
Women were more focused on their phones rather than providing assistance. It was clear we weren't French speakers but she made no attempt to help answer our question in a way we could understand.
Helpful and patient gentleman. We left with all the maps, guides and timetables we needed.
