We absolutely loved staying here. Everything was wonderful. The building and rooms are beautiful. The location is great. Every person was helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The breakfasts in La Rotonde were absolutely outstanding. We were in Nice for a 40th wedding anniversary trip and this hotel met the expectations that accompany such an occasion. We would love to stay here again. I wish we could give more than five stars.
The location, the history, the rooms, are all spectacular. But above all is the Negresco team. These are the most talented, thoughtful and kind people in the industry. From the moment we arrived they made us feel so at ease and comfortable but also so well taken care of. They strike the perfect balance. They are proactive and also quick to respond when the need arises. This was the case for the hotel, the beach lounge, the beach restaurant and the bars. Every staff member was a pleasure to meet. The concierge also helped us secure reservations at exclusive clubs in other cities and gave us great advice throughout our stay. All of this plus just a beautiful hotel. We loved the style, attention to detail and amenities. It was surreal to walk into such a beautiful room and view every day. It was a privledge to stay at such an iconic establishment and they have truly maintained the spirit of the hotel. Thank you Negresco, we hope to come back many many times!
My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon here and immensely enjoyed our stay. Le Negresco is a masterclass in hospitality. Their rooms are well-appointed and the décor is immaculate. I was thrilled to see all the art pieces scattered throughout the hotel. It was like being in a museum. I would happily return here if we fins ourselves back in Nice. It is well worth the price!
Old World Glamour and a Fabulous Negroni Stopped by Le Bar du Negresco for a few Negronis and a couple of lobster brioche rolls… and it turned into a memorable experience. The bar itself is pure old-world grandeur. Elegant, timeless, and full of the classic Riviera charm that makes Hotel Negresco such an iconic place. The Negroni was fabulous. Made with Vermouth La Quintinye Rouge, Campari, and Gin Generous Organic, it was incredibly smooth, balanced, and refined. So good that I will definitely be adding the Vermouth La Quintinye Rouge to my collection at home. The lobster brioche rolls were delicious, and the service throughout was kind, professional, and pleasantly unobtrusive. And one last thing: do yourself a favor and check out the toilets… just follow the red carpet up the stairs, you’ll find them. Worth it for the experience alone. A wonderful stop for cocktails in Nice
Very disappointing experience. Definitely not what you would expect from a hotel at this level. The service was honestly terrible from start to finish. The hotel was overcrowded and everything had to be booked in advance — even basic things that should be accessible to guests without this constant hassle. Instead of feeling welcomed and relaxed, it felt like you had to fight for every service. On top of that, charging €65 extra for parking is absolutely ridiculous and feels completely unjustified. For the price paid, this is simply unacceptable. What frustrated me the most was the complete lack of real attention toward guests. They left my luggage there and did not properly help load everything into the car, even though this is presented as a service they offer. That kind of care and assistance should be standard, especially in a hotel trying to position itself as high-end. Overall, the hotel seems far more focused on appearance, image, and putting on a show at the entrance than actually taking care of the people staying there. Very poor hospitality, very poor organization, and absolutely not worth the money. I would not come back.
Unbelievably beautiful Hotel in Nice, French Riviera… Famous, Historic, Great Location, Great Restaurant, Great Bar, Amazing Decor but Service has some issues at the front Desk and bar… the tall hostess is cold, disinterested, not gracious and has a poor attitude. There’s a young, dark hair Hostess who is a Super Star. She gave us a table we liked and also refreshed our champagne as she walked by. She’s an Awesome person and nice, friendly, kind and welcoming. The front desk woman who checked us in was incredible, the young lady who made the reservation the night before was amazing and the gentleman who checked us out was a STAR TOO. But, the front desk woman who I asked for a slightly late checkout because I didn’t feel well was HORRIFICALLY RUDE and her Boss, the front Desk Manager was even more rude. He actually said “ you need to be out by 1 pm after I had asked for a 1 pm checkout. Tom the Bellman was outstanding and our FAVORITE PERSON AMONG MANY great staff members. So many Great employees but 2 terrible at the front desk and 1 tall hostess in the Bar… they have a false sense of who they are, they aren’t more important than the guest in any way.. that’s the Golden Rule of Hospitality, be welcoming and Gracious to guests, these 3 horrible staff members wouldn’t last in Monaco or Paris, they have failed and management doesn’t know they have some bad issues with these 3.
Stunning to look at, but not up to five-star comfort The hotel is beautifully designed. Each floor has its own theme with vintage furniture and artwork, making it feel like walking through a museum. The rooms are equally decorative, though storage and desk space are limited. The dog beds were also very fancy but our dogs won’t sleep on it. That said, comfort fell well short of expectations for €1,000+ per night. Our initial room reeked of fresh paint, and opening the window revealed an active construction site — noisy and dusty. The room change was handled well, but the new room had its own issues: the shower temperature fluctuated constantly between hot and cold, and the internal soundproofing was poor. We could hear neighbours through the walls and were woken by noise at 1 am. The sea view from our room was gorgeous. Overall, a visually memorable stay that simply does not deliver on the fundamentals you'd expect at this price point.
Standing proudly on the Promenade des Anglais, Le Negresco is a legendary Belle Époque icon that doubles as a living museum of fine art and history. Each room is individually decorated with stunning antiques and period furniture, offering a completely unique, vibrant, and opulent atmosphere. Guests can indulge in first-class hospitality, high-end spa facilities, and exceptional gastronomy at the Michelin-starred Le Chantecler. While the premium price tag and historic, non-soundproof windows reflect its old-world heritage, the unmatched Riviera charm and view of the azure sea make it an unforgettable splurge.
