CONSORTS BEAULIEU

Not only is this a well functioning train station, but it is also a beautiful work of architecture rivaling churches and museums. There’s so much detail in the interior and exterior decoration that, unless you are paying close attention, you will miss most of it. If you have time between trains, do yourself a favor and walk around and take it all in. There are places to eat and all the usual amenities. I could not find a currency exchange office, however. Also know that local buses serving Limoges in the vicinity come and go from here as well.

Beautiful railway station. Very central station for mainline trains. 10 minute walk to centre of city.

Train & Bus station usuful for connections through the region. Facilities include a neglected waiting room and a paid bathroom (€ 0,50)

An old building with a piano in the hall. No air-conditioning. Power charges are easy to find.

Very magnificent, quite intimidating but friendly enough and easily to navigate to car hire and parking

The gare of Limoges is worth a visit even when you aren't in need of transportation by train. It is a great piece of architecture. Especially the inside of the dome is quite remarkable. Unfortunately train stations aren't build like this anymore.
