I have to say that I’m sad… either food in the rest of Europe is far superior than what I have been sampling, or my standards of how food tastes is sub-par. We booked 2 months in advance to make sure we could get a seat this visit. Our maitred’ was well versed in both French and English, very conversational. Our waiter was Italian and English with a little French. Everyone was friendly. I had the vegan salad with these super yummy “plant based cubes” superbly flavored! I paid the extra 5euro for the duck. Wow, like a super yummy garden/shepards pie. The pulled pork texture of the duck the orange/pine nut sauce, the only negative are the classic lumpy potatoes like my French Grandma used to make. More peasant than Michelin star French. Super expensive, like going to the Keg in Canada, but unlike anything else I have ever had. Worth the try!
the overall experience was quite disappointing, mostly due to the service. The restaurant seemed incredibly understaffed. We had to ask three different times just to place our order. Two staff members told us that a colleague would be right with us, but no one ever showed up. When we asked a third staff member, we were completely ignored. As for the food, it was just average. Ironically, the best dish we had was a lamb stew that wasn't even on the regular menu! To top it off, we ordered a dessert set that never arrived. The staff clearly forgot about it, and when we received the final bill, we noticed it hadn't been charged. At that point, we were so tired of the waiting and poor service that we just gave up and left without having our dessert. Cannot recommend this place unless they seriously improve their staffing and customer service.
Fantastic experience at Bistro Chez Rémy! The restaurant is beautifully themed and truly feels like you stepped into Ratatouille’s world. The atmosphere, decoration, and attention to detail are amazing, especially the giant plates and cutlery design. Food was very good as well — the steak and fries were excellent, and the overall experience was worth it. One important tip for visitors: even if the Disneyland app shows the restaurant as fully booked, it is still possible to get a table by coming directly to the restaurant and asking the staff. We managed to get seated without a reservation. Highly recommended!
Went for lunch with my friend and our server Tristan was so lovely and friendly! The layout is so adorable!! And the food is delicious too! We had a butternut squash soup and a vegan parmentier after, like a veggie stew. The portions are generous and it was just a lovely experience there! Someone next to us had a birthday and the staff sang for them. Next time I want to leave enough room for the cheese shaped cheesecake!
I had really high expectations for Bistrot Chez Rémy at Disneyland Paris, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to them. First of all, the service was painfully slow. The entire meal lasted about two and a half hours, and not in a relaxed, “let’s enjoy the evening” way — more in a “are we ever getting the next course?” way. Long gaps between dishes, difficulty getting staff attention, and overall a very sluggish pace. The food itself was average at best. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either. For the price you pay (and this is Disney pricing), the quality simply doesn’t justify it. It felt very basic considering the high cost — definitely a poor quality/price ratio. We had also asked in advance for candles on a dessert for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, they forgot. For a place that’s part of the Disney magic, missing something so simple and meaningful was disappointing. The only real positive is the restaurant itself. The décor is fantastic — the oversized furniture and details truly make you feel like you’ve stepped into Ratatouille. The atmosphere is immersive and beautifully done. Overall: great setting, but slow service and underwhelming food make it hard to recommend. In a park built around attention to detail, this one missed a few important ones.
This restaurant is so cute!!! It works with a set menu. You can choose from starter and entree or starter, entree, and dessert. They have lots of mocktail and cocktail options. They also have vegetarian and vegan options (which were delicious) I had a carrot soup as a started and the veggie meal as my entree which was a bed of vegetables over a pea protein showered in a creamy which sauce. Ps. The raspberry cheesecake looks like a slice of cheese. So cuteee!!!
While we miss the Bistrot Chez Rémy of old, with ratatouille that matched the movie and attraction, we were prepared for the drop of quality. We had an excellent server, David, who kept the meal flowing and made good wine recommendations. As a bonus, there was a seasonal offering, so while one of us had steak frites, the other had lamb shank and lentils while was huge, hearty and tasty! One of the better things about this restaurant compared to Walt’s (apart from Walt’s having APPALLING service and food which I’ll review separately) is that it has the option of a two course menu.
We went there for dinner on our visit to Disneyland Paris. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and we could really feel like we were in the Ratatouille movie, with all the ambiance and decorative elements of the restaurant. Dinner was really good and very tasteful, although everything felt a bit “rushed”. We stayed there for a bit more than thirty minutes. From the moment you are guided to your table and given the menu, everything starts to flow a bit rushed. In a moment you’re choosing your course, the next one you are being given the bill. You’re either you’re a slow eater and can enjoy your meal peacefully, you’re you leave the place feeling like you haven’t gotten the time to taste your food. So, be prepared for the fast pace service that you will get. What we least enjoyed was the staff. Or, more specifically, the one guy (that we didn’t get the name) appointed to us. When we finished our meal and he came with the bill and we payed, the next minute he turned his back on us, and we could hear him talk about us to the couple sitting on the table next to us. The three of them were, clearly, all French and, though we may not be very fluent in French, we understood perfectly when they all started to talk about us taking photos of the restaurant and the food, choosing tap water for drinking, and not tipping at the end of our meal. We felt very uncomfortable with the situation, and wanted to talk to a manager about it, but we came around at the last minute, cause we just wanted to leave and put that episode behind our backs and not let it ruin the magic. But, still to today, we feel like we should’ve said something cause we understand that it is not polite to talk about other people even if you think they will not understand you. For a Disney experience, we believe these people, who are making you feel the magic of that place, should be more polite and respectful, and not go around with other clients, talking about others and their options to food, drink and whe
