ICEM RENOVATION

Don't Fall for the marketing prowess and glossy videos... This is v2 of my review as I had to address the libelous comments from ICEM to my initial review. I am leaving the initial review below for the reader's peruse. ICEM's founder is making all sort of allegations, even that I could be racist. That is not acceptable. Here is some background: every time we met, Ivan was late. Also, like every time, he brought on someone with him without telling me beforehand. In 2025, one of his workers (Abdul) showed up ahead of him, and unannounced. This is not a great feeling for an owner to have someone else show up the first time. I certainly was not too pleased and perhaps it showed (sorry Abdul, nothing personal here). Therefore, I decided we all wait downstairs for "the boss" to arrive before proceeding to my apartment. End of story. Also, the snowflake, cry baby founder feels "deeply insulted" when someone has a lively discussion with him (or his wife) about what makes sense and what does not in ones' own home. Asking lively questions or pushing back on some ideas is not a sign of rudeness, but is a way for both parties to learn from each other and expectations, ahead of costly refurbishment. The reality is: his wingman, Abdul, a nice chap, is actually the one that knows what he is doing and knee-deep into construction work and what makes sense for clients. The "supervisor" boss is just a marketing guy, an intermediary of sorts. He has no real idea or knowledge of his own on the matter (hence he brings people in, I now understand why, I guess that's clever, I reckon). The truth is, I would work anytime with Abdul or any experienced worker who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, than having to deal with ICEM's founder's fragile ego, attitude and cockiness. The heavily curated instagram, facebook or google feeds do not quite match reality. Be ready for surprises...
