Avis
This is my honest opinion about this hotel. Upon arrival I was very happy to find that the hotel is located just minutes from the Bibliotheque Francois Mitterrand metro station so it an easy trip from Charles de Gualle and also the city center. I like the area technically Bercy which I have stayed in before. Very yummy breakfast however the dining area is a tad small, so arrive early as to avoid waiting to eat breakfast. Very nice staff. Now for the downside. When I checked into my room there was the most horrid smell and unfortunately there weren't any rooms available for me to switch so I had to sleep with the smell. I was able to transfer rooms the following evening. My new room was clean but there were a few broken things and they needed to update the paint because there were marks on some on the walls and the safe did not work. In the hallways there were gashes along some of the walls and broken fixtures. I did have a great view from my window!
Positives:- Convenient location, right next to metro line 14 (same as Ory airport line), and rail line C (same line to Palace of Versailles)- 24 hour reception and luggage storage- Complementary sparking / still water and coffee at reception all day, and biscuits from 3 to 7pm- Room is clean and resembles the photos online, and is decent sized compared to other budget hotels that I saw- Aircon works wellNegatives:- No mini fridge (we stayed in the triple room). There is plenty of space to include one, and shouldn't be a costly investment- The safe in our room didn't work, and despite us informing reception twice on two separate days and being assured that it would be fixed, nothing was done we just gave up- The shower is very poorly designed, the water spills out onto the floor very easily so whilst it's clean, you can't really enjoy it due to water overflow- the building is old and the plumbing is not efficiently installed. The bathroom has a bad stench from the plumbing- the vanity drained very slowly which was annoyingOverall, it was okay, would not stay again given, for the cost we paid, we expected a much more functional bathroom (shower and vanity). The safe situation also annoyed us (we had to carry our passports with us).
This hotel is absolutely perfect. It is spotlessly clean and hygienic. The front desk staff are very friendly. It is very close to the subway station. Free coffee and drinking water are provided downstairs, along with disposable paper cups. Complimentary snacks and lemonade are available every afternoon. The heating is excellent and keeps the room really warm. The luggage storage service is also very thoughtful. The price is reasonable with great value for money.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. Housekeeping was done daily, towels were regularly changed, and the bathroom, although small, was clean. The hotel’s location is a big advantage — very close to the metro, perfect for sightseeing. Unfortunately, breakfast was a major disappointment. The breakfast room is extremely small compared to the size of the hotel, with constant shortages of plates, cutlery, and food. Only one staff member was handling everything, which caused long waits and poor organization. Another issue was the lunchboxes for an early morning flight. Despite asking two days in advance and being assured it would not be a problem, we were informed the evening before departure that lunchboxes would not be provided. The reception’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, I rate this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. Cleanliness and location are positives, but organization and service need serious improvement.
Very good position, next to subway, bus stops, restaurants and super markets. I liked the area, not touristic and fairly quiet. On the day we arrived the elevator was broken and we had the room on the last floor, but they were kind enough to give us free breakfast the next day.
When I was looking for a hotel in Paris, I wanted one that, while not in the city center, was close to the metro and had an elevator. I know from experience that this makes vacations more comfortable and easier. The hotel was clean, and Valentina is excellent with her customer service, but having gone up and down the stairs to the 8th floor for three days in a roll, because the elevator wasn't working was a real headache. They also didn't offer to move me to a different floor, or giving any other option, even though I was staying with them for over seven days. That was disappointing!
The stay was wonderful! The staff are all So kind and our room was cleaned daily. It’s also very close to the subway station via exit 1 elevator if you know how to get to it which is so convenient. They also have a coffee and tea bar downstairs for use which was wonderful.
A decent hotel. The rooms will soon need renovation. There is some noticeable wear and tear, but nothing critical. At the same time, the service is very pleasant. The hotel is clean. Complimentary coffee and tea are offered. The hotel is in a good location. It’s not the city center, but the surroundings look just like the center.
